Ethan 3 months old – Week 2

Things have been going great. Ethan is such a happy content baby. He’s been smiling and laughing like crazy. He’s recently found his feet, and the last couple of days he’s been grabbing them. He has also been sucking on his hands, 3 fingers at a time. If he could, he would have his whole fist in there.

I think he may be starting to teethe as he wants to eat everything and has been drooling a lot. He’s at the beginning stages of grabbing toys and playing with them. Today he grabbed a toy but got pretty frustrated trying to figure it out so we took it away. He has also been cooing a ton! If you coo or talk to him, he will coo for a good 20 minutes.

Ethan went on his first airplane the first weekend of May. It was a short flight, but he couldn’t have been more perfect. He slept through both flights, and didn’t make a peep. We went to San Francisco to visit Jarrod’s cousin. They have a 5 1/2 month old son, it was really cute to see the two boys together.

He’s a good sleeper. For the most part, he goes to bed at 8 and wakes up sometime around 6:30. We can get away with giving him his binky and having him fall back asleep until about 8. He takes a few naps throughout the day and is eating 3-4 8oz bottles.

He had a Dr’s appt. on May 2. He was just over 3 months old. He weighed 13 lbs 6 oz and was 24 inches long. His weight and height are average. He had 2 shots at his appt. He screamed like crazy when he got them, but soon settled down. The Dr. asked if I was willing to get more than 2 shots a month, and I told her no. I would rather be safe than sorry.

He went to a half day of daycare on Friday, it went great. They said he was very happy the whole time. He had his first babysitter last night too, that also went well.

Today is Mother’s day… My first one 🙂 It’s still hard to believe I’m a mom!
